Fourteen Research Positions in bio-diagnosis and chemical structure elucidation 

Within the 7th Framework Programme "Innovative biodiagnosis meets chemical structure elucidation - Novel tools in effect-directed analysis to support the identification and monitoring of emerging toxicants on a European scale" -  EDA-EMERGE

13 PhD Student Positions + 1 Postdoc Position are open. The objective of the initial training network EDA-EMERGE is to train 14 young scientists (13 early stage researchers and 1 experienced researcher) with the skills to successfully address complex mixtures of chemicals impacting biological systems in European water bodies and human health, and to identify and prioritise major toxicants in these mixtures. Are you a Swedish GEC researcher who plan to attend the Rio+20 meeting in June 2012?

A major five-day Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Development will be carried out in Rio de Janeiro, 10-15 June 2012 . The Forum is organized by the International Council for Science (ICSU) and UNESCO, the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), the International Social Science Council (ISSC), the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. The Forum will provide a platform for the science, technology and innovation community to highlight key messages within the Rio+20 context, and to enter into dialogue with policy-makers and other stakeholders. SSEESS is planning a side event (1-2 hours) to complement and add value to the Forum agenda. The side event will tentatively be titled: GEC research, The Swedish Model. Read more
