CHALMERS - Water Environment TechnologyThe Division of Water Environment Technology (WET) focuses on research and education in the water and wastewater sector. Scientists with expertise in waves and hydraulics, process engineering, environment and sustainability, work together with stakeholders to understand and solve engineering science problems. Our aim is to develop engineering systems that will contribute to a sustainable society. Multidisciplinary and international collaboration is the basis for our research and educational activities.

Our research and education profile:

· Microbiological processes in wastewater treatment.
· Risk evaluation and treatment of contaminated areas.
· Numerical modelling of floods at extreme climatic events.
· Research programme within EU Water Framework Directive.
· Identification of global pathways for environmental contaminants.
· Assessment of the sustainability of water and wastewater systems.
· Sustainability of urban water systems (MISTRA programme).
· SIDA courses.
