Department of Water Resources Engineering, Lund University

The Department of Water Resources Engineering is situated within the School of Civil Engineering at Lund University. It provides courses at the undergraduate level within the School of Civil Engineering program and the Environmental Engineering program, and it has its own doctoral program. The research at Water Resources Engineering covers a broad spectrum but is primarily concerned with fluid mechanics, urban hydrology, lake and coastal waters, precipitation and soil water processes. About 25 people work at the department of which approximately 15 are staff members and 15 are doctoral students. The annual budget of the department is 20 million SEK. About 80% of the resources come from external grants with the remainder coming from the university.
